Brooke offered to set up a FB page and social media <br />guidelines. <br />vi. Mihaela motioned for the subcommittee to set up rules, <br />procedures, and FB page before the September mtg. Brooke <br />seconded. Motion approved <br />c. Outreach - Shana <br />i. Shana proposed the following subcommittee goals: <br />• Support mission of CSW <br />• Provide direct services to women of county <br />• Be resources to women of county <br />• Raise awareness in collab w/ Communications <br />• Provide education and volunteer opportunities for <br />Current Projects <br />• Teen Dating Violence <br />• Real Women Essay <br />• Ma'i Movement <br />No report. <br />iii. Proposal <br />• Draft resolution to designate 2022 as Year of the <br />Mother. "Malama Makuahine" <br />o Mihaela requested to expand the definition of <br />,'mother" to "parent" to be more inclusive. <br />Kahea requested that we include formerly <br />incarcerated women. <br />d. Research - Puna <br />i. Puna asked where data and research is currently stored <br />ii. Shana said she would share the HT event survey and results <br />iii. Diana shared that the County has a research and <br />development dept. and she was willing to connect the <br />subcommittee w/ them. Puna to follow up and get updated <br />data for current status of women report. <br />iv. Shana recommended that we include new census data. <br />e. Legislative & Advocacy - Mihaela <br />i. Subcommittee will come up w/ legislative ideas and identify <br />partners. Diana recommended utilizing Cyd for resources on <br />drafting bills <br />ii. Human Trafficking <br />July 30th Recent event had 70 participants. Mayor, Sen. <br />Ocasio, Councilwoman Kierkowitz all spoke. <br />iii. Equal Pay <br />No report. <br />
