APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />• Farrah -Marie motioned to approve the Agenda, Kahea seconded the motion. <br />• Committee approved motion. <br />IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />• Kahea motioned to approve Minutes from August meeting; Farrah -Marie <br />seconded the motion, with edits to be provided to all members of committee by <br />next meeting. <br />• Committee approved motion. <br />ACTION ITEM: <br />Shana to edit August meeting minutes for final submission to committee for <br />approval by October 20 HCSW meeting, uploading to County/YWCAwebsites. <br />V. TREASURER'S REPORT <br />• Andrew reported no expenditures for the new FY 2020-21. <br />• Shana motioned to approve the report; Farrah seconded the motion w/comment. <br />• Farrah asked for clarity as to how the budget report is to be approved with no <br />hard copy available to the committee to vote on. <br />• Dakota said a verbal report is ok to present to the committee for approval. <br />MOTION: <br />Farrah -Marie motioned, Kahea seconded, and Committee approved Treasurer's <br />Report presented verbally by Andrew. <br />ACTION ITEM: <br />Mihaela to follow up with Allen, Andrew, and possibly the County Finance office <br />to resolve these budget and procurement issues moving forward. <br />VI. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />• Shana asked about the specific protocol and avenues for the public to provide <br />statements to the committee. <br />• Farrah said statements from the public normally flow through the Prosecuting <br />Attorney's emails and/or referrals. <br />• Dakota said there is nothing specifically in the bylaws that explain this process, <br />and that it is something to address if we see the need to do so in the future. <br />VII. CORRESPONDENCE <br />• Shana shared that thank you letters went out to all the agencies and county/state <br />leaders that attended the Human Trafficking Awareness Day event on July 30, <br />2021. <br />• Kahea thanked everyone for participating and for the thank you letters that were <br />sent out on August 30 on behalf of the committee. <br />• Farrah asked for the list of thank you letters/participants to be provided to the <br />committee with a rationale as to how the list was generated; Kahea explained <br />that participants came from groups that already advocate for HT victims. <br />2 <br />
