TMK: 74010002 PLAN APPROVAL APPLICATION <br /> KVDC <br /> An application for KVDC review of items 7, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 is being submitted concurrently <br /> or within the next several days following the date of this application for Plan Approval. <br /> CONSTRUCTION <br /> Staging Area and Best Management Practices (BMP): <br /> The existing paved parking area will be utilized as the stockpiling and staging area <br /> for the dumpster for construction debris, and the drop-off of materials and <br /> equipment. <br /> The stockpiling of construction material will not be located in drainage ways. There <br /> are no areas of concentrated flows. No new grading is required. <br /> All ground work, replanting and stockpiling of construction materials, shall conform <br /> to Chapter 10 Erosion and Sediment Controls, Hawaii County Code and Chapters <br /> 11-55, Water Pollution Controls, Hawaii Administrative Rules, as required by Plans <br /> and construction contracts <br /> Best Management Practices will be implemented, to include the installation of <br /> silt/dust control fencing with sandbags between the construction area and the ocean <br /> waters with sand bags and silt fences to prevent any construction elements and <br /> surface runoff impacts to adjacent properties. <br /> All construction debris will be placed in containers for removal and transporting to <br /> the County of Hawaii landfill with the hauler obtaining the applicable permits for that. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> The applicant submits that the project is consistent with the objectives, policies, and goals of <br /> the County General Plan, Kailua Village Design Guidelines and County of Hawaii Zoning <br /> Code, as well as all Building Permit and State Department of Health requirements. <br /> These improvements will transform an average industrial warehouse building into a more <br /> attractive and people friendly environment in the rapidly improving Brew Pub area of <br /> downtown Kailua Kona. <br /> (End of document) <br /> 3 <br />
