Action: C. Okumura motioned to amend draft letter by changing the wording in the third <br />paragraph from “hunter” to “all gatherers.” Seconded by L. Turalde. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Action: B. Ley motioned to move the letter forward to the County of Hawai’i Planning <br />Department, to pursue the development of the Kaupakuea public access into the Hilo <br />Forest Reserve. Seconded by L. Hashida reported that the new legislature session will start in <br />January and that the committee will bring forth bills that we recommend that GMAC support <br />and we will track bills we want to oppose and lastly bills related to fire prevention that <br />others are bringing forth. <br /> <br />11.
