My address is 61-4151 Kalooloo Drive in <br />Kawaihae, Kohala. <br />ALAMEDA:Thank you. Mr. Krueger? <br />KRUEGER:Thank you Mr. Chairman. Mr. Lindsey would you state what your present <br />employment is? <br />LINDSEY:I€m Hawaiian on staff with the History and Culture Branch of the State <br />Historic Preservation Division, which falls within the Department of Land and Natural <br />Resources. <br />KRUEGER:How long have you employed by that agency? <br />LINDSEY:I€ve been employed with that agency since July of 2002. <br />KRUEGER:And what are your duties with respect to your current occupation? <br />LINDSEY:It€s a fairly wide range of duties. As the branch indicates we deal with the <br />history and culture of the people that have chosen to make Hawaii their home. And for the <br />native population that was already here. <br />KRUEGER:Are you familiar with the State Historic Preservation Division Rules in the <br />Hawaii Revised Statutes? <br />LINDSEY:Yes I am. <br />KRUEGER:And does you department exist to more or less enforce those rules? <br />LINDSEY:Yes. <br />KRUEGER:Okay.
