Let the record show that we have resumed <br />in open session at 11:09. And so, we will go to our agenda. <br />Presentation By Department Of Human Resources Acting Director Waylen L. K <br />Leopoldino And His Division Managers Providing An Overview Of Their Respective <br />Divisions Within The Department Of Human Resources (Classification & Pay-Jamielyn <br />Martinez; Recruitment & Examination -Lee Botelho; Administrative Services -Dee Ann <br />Sadayasu; EEO/ADA-Waylen Leopoldino (position currently vacant); Health & Safety - <br />Ryan Chong; Workers' Compensation -Sommer Tokihiro; Personnel & Organizational <br />Development -Jennifer Sakamoto; Labor Relations -Diane Noda) <br />CHR. CABANAS: The next item is presentation by the Department of Human Resources. <br />Waylen, good morning, and good morning to all of the managers. Thank you for being here <br />today. <br />Waylen, I'd just like to start by saying on behalf of the Board, thank you for coordinating and <br />having all of your managers here today at the Board's request. Would you like to start off with a <br />few comments before you turn it over to your managers? <br />(At this time, Mr. Waylen Leopoldino, Acting Director, Human Resources Department, <br />came forward.) <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: Sure. Thank you, Chair Cabanas, and Members of the Merit Appeals <br />Board. <br />Yes, I was fortunate that all of our schedules allowed us to all be here today to do our <br />presentation to you this morning. As I've mentioned before, I'm very fortunate to work with a <br />group of talented individuals. I would not be successful in my position without the support of <br />each and every one of them, and their staff. <br />So, I'm excited for you to get a presentation of a brief overview of each of their divisions this <br />morning. And feel free to ask us any question. We're going to—if I could, I'll just go over the <br />agenda for presentations. We're going to start off with our Classification and Pay Division, <br />followed by because everything starts off with the positions in our HR Department. And then, <br />Recruitment and Examinations, Administrative Services, EEO and ADA that position is <br />currently vacant, so I'll do a short presentation on that division. <br />SPEAKER: (Inaudible.) <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: That's our Equal Employment Opportunity Division and ADA. Health <br />and Safety, Workers Compensation, Personnel and Organizational Development, and our Labor <br />Relations Division.
