CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Chair Antonio. <br />Roll Call by D. Mellon-Lacey: <br /> District 1 - Vacant <br /> District 2 - Kean Umeda, Present - in person – via Zoom <br /> District 3 – Rhon Leomana Turalde, Present – in person (Hilo) <br /> District 4 – Brian Ley – Present, in-person (Hilo) <br /> District 5 - Abraham Antonio, Present - in person (Hilo) <br /> District 6 - Vacant <br /> District 7 - Vacant <br /> District 8 – Cortney Okumura – via Zoom <br /> District 9 - George Donev, Present- via Zoom <br /> A quorum was established with six in attendance. Need at least five. <br /> <br />STAFF: Diana Mellon-Lacey, Deputy Corporation Counsel (Zoom) <br /> Pomai Bartolome, Executive Assistant to Mayor Roth (in-person, Hilo) <br /> Barbara Kossow, GMAC secretary, excused. <br /> <br />Chair Antonio reminded commissioners who are on Zoom to be visible on the screen and to <br />make known if anyone else is in the room while voting on an issue. <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 15, 2022, and April 19, 2022. <br /> Action: Motion made by L. Turalde to approve the March 15, 2022, and the April 19, 2022 <br />Seconded by B. Ley. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: <br />Chair Abraham Antonio, welcomes anyone that may want to say something regarding an <br />agenda item may do so anytime throughout the meeting. <br /> <br />4. PRESENTATION: <br />a. DOFAW West Hawai’i Wildlife Biologist Kanalu Sproat gave a report on the recent sheep <br />eradication efforts on Mauna Kea. <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
