Outreach Sub -Committee reports <br />a. 2022 Year of the Mother: Shana created a slideshow to share with the <br />Committee highlighting all events planned events. The Committee will <br />continue to spotlight mothers in our County for the 2nd half of 2022. <br />i. Approval of project rationale: Forthcoming <br />b. Teen Dating Violence <br />i. Distribution log: Shana shared that a lot of the Teen Dating <br />cellphone cards were distributed at the Pride Parade. <br />c. Real Women Essay: An email to the Prosecuting Attorneys Office <br />regarding the request submitted by the Committee for this project has <br />returned with an unfavorable response that it was not submitted for <br />review. Farrah -Marie will follow up for FY2022-2023 to ensure that we get <br />this activity reestablished. <br />d. Ma'i Movement: Farrah -Marie will share an update at the next meeting. <br />C. Research Sub -Committee reports <br />a. Status of Women Report: No report at this time. <br />b. Equal Pay: Committee recommends creating a report card featuring <br />details on Workforce, Skills Development, and Health as it relates to Pay, <br />particularly amongst Native Hawaiiian women. <br />FOLLOW UP: A request for Farrah to send the infographic of the Equal <br />Pay ad to the Committee. <br />D. Legislative & Advocacy <br />a. Human Trafficking: Kahea shared that July 30 is World Day Against <br />Human Trafficking. The event originally scheduled for July 30-31 at Hilo <br />Bay Front has been moved to Puna Kai Shopping Center in Pahoa. <br />Tables wil be provided, bring your own chairs. Rachelle shared the CJC <br />Sex -Trafficking cards that can be made available for distribution. <br />b. Equal Pay: No report at this time. However, members are interested in <br />putting together a candidate bio listing information on each candidate's <br />take on issues related to women. <br />c.
