KELEPOLO moves to the next item on <br />the agenda and acknowledges the arrival of Mr. Lee. <br />2. Commission to review and discuss PInG #1 and PInG #2 Site Visits Reports as <br />reported at the April 4, 2022, PONC Special Meeting. (Motion required) <br />a. PlnG#1 Site Visit Report for Sugg. 22-01, Historic 88 Temple Walk, S. Kona and <br />Sugg. 22-08, Connecting to Holualoa Royal Complex. <br />Sugg. 22-01. CHR. KELEPOLO summarizes the report with a passed resolution, <br />property is a flag lot, beautiful lot, having historical values, restoration of the <br />monument, and the path was cleared so the group actually walked the proposed <br />walk. She says an archeological survey needs to be conducted to document any <br />cultural values. The County's easement acquisition would greatly benefit the <br />community by creating a safe walking path for pedestrians as the Holualoa main <br />road being narrow has no sidewalks for children walking to school. She thanked <br />Ms. Harvey and her group for making this an enjoyable event. <br />Sugg. 22-008. MS. CHANG summarizes this part of the report and gives credit <br />to the Maddocks for providing the flood zone maps and Ms. Ward for the <br />pictures in the report. She says they could not access the property, but the <br />Maddocks say the "rock wall" has cultural value. With no documentation, the <br />Maddocks were advised to contact the State of Hawaii Historic Preservation <br />Division. <br />b. PInG#2 Site Visit Report for Sugg. 22-04, Honoipu, N. Kohala and Sugg. 22-07, <br />Kukuioahu — Haena Corridor. N. Kohala. <br />Sugg. 22-07. MS. ROSAM gives a summary of the site report and highlights <br />areas of the property. She says the property is rich in cultural sites, you cannot <br />go 30' without seeing something. MS. WARD confirms the property they visited <br />was rich in cultural values. <br />Sugg. 22-04. MS. ROSAM summarizes the site report and highlights issues with <br />the property owners being the public is illegally accessing the back of his <br />property and signage is needed. MS. WARD explains is the site needs to be <br />(inaudible) and improvements may need to be considered if county decides to <br />purchase it. MS. ROSAM explains the need to continue the 20 miles of the "trail" <br />along the coastline. <br />There being no further discussions, CHR.
