FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP (FIRM) DESIGNATION <br /> State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources, Flood Hazard Assessment Tool determined <br /> that the FIRM designation is "X" -Areas determined to be outside 500-year floodplain determined to be <br /> outside the 1%and 0.2%annual chance floodplains. <br /> 6. FLORAL AND FAUNA RESOURCES <br /> The proposed area is mostly pahoehoe rock with very little soil. Vegetation is primarily `uluhe fern <br /> (Dicranopteris hnearis),`ohia (Metrosideros polymorpha) and various wild orchids (Starr <br /> Environmental 2017). <br /> 7. DESCRIPTION OF ACCESS(S) IN THE AREA(E.G.WIDTH, TYPE OF SURFACE AND <br /> CONDITION OF ROADWAY). IF A PRIVATE ROADWAY, SUBMIT EVIDENCE OF ACCESS <br /> RIGHTS <br /> Anew 10' wide access road is proposed for this Facility is taken from Kamana Drive, a public road. The <br /> proposed access road is approximately 130' long and is intentionally curved so that the natural <br /> landscaping could be used to hide the ground equipment. The Applicant proposes to finish the road with <br /> compacted dirt. A locked gate will be placed at the road to discourage trespassers. <br /> 8. TRAFFIC IMPACTS—ASSESSMENT OF EXISTING TRAFFIC CONDITIONS, <br /> ANTICIPATED INCREASE IN TRAFFIC AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS FROM PROPOSED USE <br /> (A FORMAL STUDY MAY BE REQUESTED BY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OR <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DURING THE REVIEW PROCESS) <br /> A traffic study was not performed for this Project,as this is not an occupied-type facility. Only service <br /> personnel who must visit the location on an as needed basis will have access to the facility. Construction <br /> traffic will be limited to delivering of material and construction workers to construct the <br /> telecommunication facility. The time period will be approximately 6 weeks from the date of construction <br /> start. Parking for the maintenance vehicle is provided within the Property in front of the fenced <br /> compound. <br /> 9.AVAILABILITY OF UTILITIES: WATER, TELEPHONE,ELECTRICITY, SEWAGE <br /> DISPOSAL <br /> Water and sewage disposal will not be required for this Facility because it will not be occupied-type <br /> Facility. Electricity is readily available across Kaumana Drive. The Applicant has not yet discovered if <br /> fiber optics are available to this neighborhood. If fiber optics is not available or cost prohibitive, a <br /> microwave dish will be installed on the tower to provide such service. <br /> 71 Page <br />
