APPLICANT: CORAL WIRELESS, LLC dba MOBI PCS (USE 10-024) <br />Application for a Use Permit to allow the construction of an 80-foot tall telecommunication <br />monopole with 6-foot tall panel antennas and related facilities on an approximate 200-square <br />foot portion of a 21.03-acre parcel situated in the State Land Use Agricultural District. The <br />property is located in Waipunalei, approximately one mile north of the town of <br />North Hilo, Hawai‘i, TMK: 3-6-004: Portion of 7. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT C) <br />MINUTES – At10:15 a.m., the Commission took up the following minutes: <br />December 14, 2010 – It was moved by Commissioner Woodward and seconded by <br />Commissioner Domingo that the minutes be approved. Motion was unanimously carried by a <br />voice vote of all members in attendance. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS – The following were discussed under administrative matters: <br />Hu Honua Contested Case (SMA 221) –Mr. Arai gave a status update on the contested case <br />proceedings. He said as soon as Hearings Officer Robert Crudele closes the hearing, it would <br />start the 45-day clock by which the Hearings Officer would submit his report to the Commission, <br />noting March would be the earliest this matter can be brought before the Planning Commission <br />again. In response to Commissioner Ishibashi’s inquiry Mr. Arai said the County and Hu Honua <br />did submit their proposed Findings of Fact in a timely manner; and Mr. Steven Strauss who <br />represents all the intervenors has yet to submit his findings, noting it was up to the Hearings <br />Officer to allow a late submittal. He said he wants to provide adequate time for the Commission <br />to review all the materials as it is voluminous. <br />ADJOURNMENT – The Chair declared the meeting adjourned at10:19 a.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Sharon M.
