She reports <br />how she was able to rescue one that fell in the cracks (made by lava) on the <br />property. She sends a huge “mahalo” to the applicants. <br /> <br />Ms. Chang tells the applicant that the application was well written and <br />“excellent details of listing agencies, detailed budget, and list of collaborators <br />who will be involved. But on the last page, she recounts expenses that are not <br />allowable. <br /> <br />Dr. Frank and Ms. Ward agrees with Ms. Chang and Chr. Kelepolo the application <br />is written well enough to move to a motion. <br /> <br />MOTION: Ms. Chang moved that the Stewardship Application STU. 23-08 be <br />approved subject to the following conditions: that the finance department <br />evaluate the proposed budget and prior to transmitting the Stewardship <br />Application to Council, separate those expenses that do not fit into the Hawaiʻi <br />County Charter and Code from those expenses which can be approved.
