Chair Lucas asked for nominations for Vice Chair for the upcoming year. <br /> Ms. Sumera made a motion to nominate Ms. Marumoto as Vice Chair for an additional year. <br /> Seconded by Ms. Unoki. <br /> The motion for Ms. Marumoto as Vice Chair was carried by the following vote: <br /> AYES: Board Members Sumera, Unoki,Vice Chair Marumoto, and Chair Lucas—4. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> 1. From the Accounts Division: Pensioner Statistics as of November 25, 2022. <br /> Ms. Young circulated the Hawaii County Pensioners 2022 statistics and summarized: <br /> a. As of November 25, 2022, there are 15 active pensioners. <br /> b. Two deaths were reported in 2022, and one new pension was awarded. <br /> Chair Lucas asked if there were any other announcements. <br /> Mr. Henricks thanked Ms. Unoki for joining the Board and Ms. Sumera for her years of service. Mr. <br /> Henricks also thanked Mr. Lucas for stepping up again into his leadership role, Ms. Marumoto for being <br /> Mr. Lucas' partner, and he expressed his appreciation for the Board. <br /> Mr. Lucas thanked all board members for serving. He expressed his appreciation for each member <br /> individually and bid Ms. Sumera a fond farewell. <br /> ADJOURNMENT: <br /> Ms. Unoki made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
