Shana said there was a limit of 30 guests at the site, so it would be that amount times eight. Andrew calculated it as $240 total. Shana asked for suggestions, and said Zippy's pupu platter was just a suggestion. Hannah said Five Spice is $7 plus tax for their bentos and they have vegetarian bentos. This was decided as the best option. Farrah suggested the option of Earl's, and offered to pick it up on the way to Kona on the day of the event. Shana said she will work it out with Allen and Farrah. Shana said that she shared the following documents with the committee: the Mahalo Luncheon program and the Mayor's Message for the event. She asked if they received it and all members confirmed that they did. Car seats were identified as a need by two organizations that will receive them at the luncheon for mothers in need who are leaving the hospital. Shana shared that the two organizations are "9 Months Window of Hope" for at risk homeless pregnant mothers and "Health Hapai" for pregnant mothers and their families in a culturally responsive and inclusive setting free and focused on Big Island residents. The Status of the Mother 2022 report was discussed and Shana shared the details about a Permitted Investigative Group she would like to form for this. The committee decided to vote upon it per the Chair's guidance. Farrah, Christina, and Lisa volunteered to be members of this group along with Shana, to convene for a period between November 16 to December 31, 2022. Andrew motioned to approve the formation of the Permitted Investigative Group to create the Status of the Mother Report 2022. Hannah seconded the motion. The motion was voted on by the committee and unanimously approved. ACTION ITEM: Report to be presented to the committee when it is completed, and a draft will be presented to the committee on December 21. ACTION ITEM: Farrah will agendize the report for the December meeting. b. Teen Dating Violence i. Distribution log Farrah asked if anyone has been handing out cards. Several members said they have logged the ones they handed out. Shana asked how many are in a box. Farrah said that we can just log total boxes, not necessary to log individual cards only.
