Shana <br /> said there was a limit of 30 guests at the site, so it would be that <br /> amount times eight. Andrew calculated it as $240 total. Shana <br /> asked for suggestions, and said Zippy's pupu platter was just a <br /> suggestion. Hannah said Five Spice is $7 plus tax for their bentos <br /> and they have vegetarian bentos. This was decided as the best <br /> option. Farrah suggested the option of Earl's, and offered to pick it <br /> up on the way to Kona on the day of the event. Shana said she <br /> will work it out with Allen and Farrah. <br /> Shana said that she shared the following documents with the <br /> committee: the Mahalo Luncheon program and the Mayor's <br /> Message for the event. She asked if they received it and all <br /> members confirmed that they did. <br /> Car seats were identified as a need by two organizations that will <br /> receive them at the luncheon for mothers in need who are leaving <br /> the hospital. Shana shared that the two organizations are "9 <br /> Months Window of Hope" for at risk homeless pregnant mothers <br /> and "Health Hapai" for pregnant mothers and their families in a <br /> culturally responsive and inclusive setting free and focused on Big <br /> Island residents. <br /> The Status of the Mother 2022 report was discussed and Shana <br /> shared the details about a Permitted Investigative Group she <br /> would like to form for this. The committee decided to vote upon it <br /> per the Chair's guidance. Farrah, Christina, and Lisa volunteered <br /> to be members of this group along with Shana, to convene for a <br /> period between November 16 to December 31, 2022. <br /> Andrew motioned to approve the formation of the Permitted <br /> Investigative Group to create the Status of the Mother Report <br /> 2022. Hannah seconded the motion. The motion was voted on <br /> by the committee and unanimously approved. <br /> ACTION ITEM: Report to be presented to the committee when it is completed, and a draft <br /> will be presented to the committee on December 21. <br /> ACTION ITEM: Farrah will agendize the report for the December meeting. <br /> b. Teen Dating Violence <br /> i. Distribution log <br /> Farrah asked if anyone has been handing out cards. Several <br /> members said they have logged the ones they handed out. Shana <br /> asked how many are in a box. Farrah said that we can just log <br /> total boxes, not necessary to log individual cards only. <br />
