Real Women Essay <br /> i. Approval of project rationale <br /> Farrah presented the project rationale to distribute gift cards to <br /> 2019 and 2020 winners. <br /> Shana motioned to approve the project rationale in the amount of <br /> $1,400 for the Real Women Essay. Andrew seconded the motion. <br /> The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. <br /> d. Mal Movement- no updates <br /> B. Research Sub-Committee reports <br /> a. Status of Women Report - no report <br /> b. Equal Pay - no report <br /> C. Legislative &Advocacy <br /> a. Human Trafficking - no report <br /> b. Equal Pay - recognized on the 2nd Tuesday of every April, signifying the <br /> approximate date in which women employees match the income of their <br /> male counterparts. The proposal is to move the newspaper ad onto social <br /> media platform and establish a contest to create social media tiles or <br /> short video showcasing Equal Pay movement. Committee tasked with <br /> devising criteria, enlist judges, select 5 winners, obtain gift cards, etc. We <br /> get to utilize their creations on our social media platforms. <br /> i. Approval of project rationale <br /> 1. Dates in the rationale to reflect 2023 <br /> 2. Question: Process and protocol regarding boosting <br /> Facebook posts <br /> 3. MOTION to approve the project rationale to include <br /> increase of project budget by $250 to make total $1500, by <br /> Andrew, second by Christina. <br /> 4. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. <br /> c. Hawaii Island Women's Leadership Summit <br /> i. Approval of project rationale - Restart HIWLF and boost the Blue <br /> Zones project by creating 4 live events around the Big Island. <br /> ii. MOTION by Shana to approve the project rationale for HIWLF, <br /> Christina seconded. <br /> iii. DISCUSSION: Revise project budget to reflect $6/pp, total amount <br /> remains $1,500. Total line item to not exceed bottom line. <br /> Recommendation to add to 1 F: We propose the payment to be <br /> made to Friends of the Future, fiscal sponsor. and italicize live to <br /> emphasize the event is in personal <br /> iv. The motion was voted on and passed unanimously. <br />
