Ms. Dakujaku explained their request to put up a metal building to lease out either as office or <br />warehouse space for local entrepreneurs. She stated she has read the Planning Department’s <br />background report and recommendation and the proposed conditions were acceptable. <br />There was no one from the public wishing to testify on the application. <br />It was moved by Commissioner Ogata and seconded by Commissioner Domingo to send a <br />favorable recommendation to the County Council with conditions as recommended by the <br />Planning Director. A roll call vote was taken and motion carried with six ayes (Ogata, Domingo, <br />Ishibashi, Iwashita, Kern and Woodward). Commissioner Iwashita voted kanalua twice. <br />USE 09-15 The Commission took this item up at 9:20 a.m. with <br />BORTHWICK HAWAII approximately 13 people from the public in attendance. <br />FUNERAL HOME <br />ND <br />KUKUAU 2, <br />SOUTH HILO <br />BORTHWICK HAWAII FUNERAL HOME (USE 09-15) <br />Use Permit to allow the establishment of a crematorium on 24,572 square feet of land situated <br />within the General Commercial - 7,500 square feet (CG-7.5) zoned district. The property <br />involved is the site of the existing Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home located at the western corner <br />nd <br />of Kinoole Street and Kukuau Street, Kukuau 2, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-3-18:34 and 54. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT A) <br />RECESSEDThe Chair called a short recess at 11:10 a.m. <br />RECONVENED The meeting reconvened at 11:21 a.m. <br />LUC DOCKET SP 73-159 The Commission took this item up at 11:21 a.m. with <br />NANI MAU, INC. no one from the public in attendance. <br />WAIAKEA, <br />SOUTH HILO <br />APPLICANT: NANI MAU, INC.
