APPLICANTS: YOSHIO INABA, ET AL (REZ 05-003) <br />Application for a Change of Zone <br />for 43.88 acres of land from an Agricultural 40-acre (A-40a) to a Family Agricultural 4-acre <br />(FA-4a) district. The property is located on the north side of Mamalahoa Highway, adjacent and <br />nd <br />west of the Hoonani Subdivision, Puukapu Homesteads, 2 Series, Waimea, South Kohala, <br />Hawaii, TMK: 6-4-17:40. <br />Mr. Hayashi informed the Commission that a correspondence received from the Inabas dated <br />th <br />August 15 requests that this application be continued. He stated that the reason is the applicant <br />is amending the application from a FA-4a district to an Ag-5a district. He told the <br />Commissioners that based on the correspondence, the Department acknowledged receipt of the <br />application and verbally informed the applicant that it was not necessary for him to attend the <br />meeting. Therefore they are requesting continuance with the revised application request. <br />There being no questions by the Commissioners and no one from the public to testify on the <br />application the Chair asked for a motion for continuance. It was moved by Commissioner <br />Iwashita and seconded by Commissioner McCall that the application Yoshio Inaba, Et al, REZ <br />05-003, be continued and be agendized by the Staff to a later meeting. Motion carried by roll- <br />call vote of all Commissioners present. <br />(SPP 05-012)The Commission took this item up at 9:40 a.m. with <br />MOTORSPORTS PARKapproximately 15 people from the public in attendance. <br />HAWAI`I <br />MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY <br />JUNCTION, <br />WAIKOLOA, <br />SOUTH KOHALA <br />APPLICANT: MOTORSPORTS PARK HAWAII (SPP 05-012) <br />Application for a Special Permit to allow the establishment of an off-road vehicle recreation <br />facility and related uses on 14.9 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural <br />District.
