Mr. Hayashi stated that the applicants representative has requested a continuance of the hearing <br />inasmuch as the applicant is not feeling well and is unable to make todays meeting. <br />There was no one from the public wishing to testify on this agenda item. <br />It was moved by Commissioner Springer and seconded by Commissioner Alameda that this <br />agenda item be continued to the June meeting. A roll call vote was taken and motion carried <br />with five ayes (Springer, Alameda, Graham, Iwashita and Galdones) and four absent and excused <br />(McCall, Watanabe, Salavea, and Siracusa). <br />RECESSED:The Chair called a short recess at 2:27 p.m. <br />RECONVENED:The meeting reconvened at 2:35 p.m. <br />(SPP 05-002)The Commission took this item up at 2:35 p.m. with <br />INNOVATIONS PUBLIC approximately 60 people from the public in attendance. <br />CHARTERS SCHOOL/ <br />IPCS FOUNDATION <br />RD <br />PUAA 3, <br />NORTH KONA <br />INNOVATIONS PUBLIC CHARTERS SCHOOL/IPCS FOUNDATION (SPP 05-002) <br />Special Permit application to allow the establishment of a public charter school (elementary <br />school - grades 1 to 6), including limited before and after school care program, and related <br />facilities on 5 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The area <br />involved is located along the east (mauka) side of Queen Kaahumanu Highway, approximately <br />rd <br />1,500 feet north of the Queen Kaahumanu Highway Hualalai Road intersection, Puaa 3, <br />North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-5-10: portion of 1. <br />(SEE EXHIBIT D) <br />AMENDMENT TOThe Commission took this item up at 5:22 p.m. with <br />CHAPTER 25approximately 5 people from the public in attendance <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR <br />AGRICULTURAL TOURISM <br />INITIATOR: PLANNINGDIRECTOR <br /> <br />Continued hearing on the amendment to Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawaii County Code <br />relating to Agricultural Tourism.
