February 18, 2005 -It was moved by Commissioner Alameda, and seconded by Commissioner <br />Springer that the minutes be accepted and placed in file. Motion was unanimously carried by a <br />voice vote of all Commissioners in attendance. <br />March 18, 2005 -It was moved by Commissioner Springer and seconded by Commissioner <br />Alameda that the minutes be deferred to the next meeting so that the Commissioners have the <br />opportunity to review them. Motion was unanimously carried by a voice vote of all <br />Commissioners in attendance. <br />ADMINISTRATIVE The following was discussed under administrative matters: <br />MATTERS <br />Status of appeals filed on Planning Commission decisions Corporation Counsel Mr. Torigoe <br />reported that the Yokoyama vs. Doutors Supreme Court Appeal has been dismissed. <br />Commissioner Springer queried regarding how the Blasmans case should be treated in relation <br />to Doutor and some of the other ones that are in appeal, Blasman is not. <br />Director Yuen responded stating that its simply pendingby consent of the parties and there is a <br />very strong and live acquisition effort that cinched a happening. <br />Commissioner Springer then asked if the panel of hearings officers will reconvened? <br />Director Yuen stated that if the acquisition happens then the application will be dropped and the <br />panel will be dismissed. <br />Commissioner Graham asked for a status on the Parker School application. Mr. Hayashi said <br />that Sherry Broder an attorney from Oahu is the Hearing Officer handling both of the Parker <br />School applications. He also stated that for the Vurick application, Mr. Thomas Yeh who is an <br />attorney in Hilo who will hear that case for the Commission. He stated that once the contract is <br />final they will proceed. <br />ANNOUNCEMENT <br />The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 12, 2005.
