CABANAS: And no "Communications" for the Board to consider. <br />February 11, 2022 <br />Also, coming into the Council Chambers, that we just see—good morning—is Mayor <br />Mitch Roth and his Executive Assistant, Cyrus Johnasen. Good morning, Cyrus. Thank you for <br />coming to today's meeting. <br />Unfinished Business (Item 6) <br />CHR. CABANAS: We are now on Number 6, the "Unfinished Business." <br />6A) Selection Of The New Director Of Human Resources, County Of Hawaii. At The <br />Merit Appeals Board Meeting Held On February 2, 2022, The Board Concluded Its <br />Interview, Application Review, And Discussion Regarding The Selection Of The New <br />Director Of The Department Of Human Resources. The Board Will Announce Its <br />Selection At Its Meeting Today, February 11, 2022; Executive Session: The Merit Appeals <br />Board Anticipates Convening An Executive Meeting Regarding The Above Matter, <br />Pursuant To Section 92-5(a)(4), For The Purpose Of Consulting With The Board's <br />Attorney On Questions And Issues Pertaining To The Board's Powers, Duties, Privileges, <br />Immunities, And Liabilities, And Section 92-5(a)(2) To Consider The Hire Of A County <br />Officer Where Consideration Of Matters Affecting Privacy Will Be Involved. A 2/3 Vote <br />Pursuant To Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 92-4 Is Necessary To Hold An Executive <br />Meeting <br />CHR. CABANAS: At this time, Board members, do I have a motion for the Board to enter into <br />executive session to discuss the selection of the new Director of Human Resources for the <br />County of Hawaii. <br />MR. KUNZ: So moved. <br />MS. MATHEWS: Second. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank you. Any discussion? Okay. So, the motion is for us to go into the <br />executive session to discuss the selection of the new Director of Human Resources for the <br />County of Hawaii.
