The Mayor has been absolutely supportive of me and very open and gracious about all <br />the decisions we had to makeāand, at many times, they were not easy decisions. So, I am <br />grateful to Mayor Roth for all the support and I'm looking forward to working closely with his <br />Administration. So, thank you, Mayor. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank you, Waylen. And thank you, Mayor and Cyrus, for coming today. <br />And thank you to the staff of the Department of Human Resources for showing your support to <br />your new director. And I'm sure that all of you will work collaboratively together for the <br />betterment of the County of Hawaii and a superb Human Resources program. So, thank you so <br />much. <br />MR. Based On The <br />Foregoing FOF COL, The Merit Appeals Board Orders That The Instant Appeal, Shall, <br />And Is Hereby Dismissed With Prejudice For Lack Of Subject Matter Jurisdiction Board <br />Action Required: Approval Of FOF COL (And Filing Of All Related Communications); And <br />Communication No. 21-02, Received On April 30, 2021, Appealing A Recruitment And <br />Examination, And Employment Action (Failure To Provide A Fair And Transparent <br />Process For The Selection Of The Fire Chief) By The Fire Commission; And <br />Communication No. 21-02.01, Received On June 8, 2021, Regarding County's (Hereinafter <br />Referred To As "Appellee") Memorandum Regarding The Merit Appeals Board's Lack Of <br />Jurisdiction; Certificate Of Service; And Communication No. 21-02.02, Received On June <br />22, 2021, Regarding A Letter From The Appellee, Notifying The Board That The <br />Page 9 <br />
