Merit Appeals Board <br />March 10, 2022 <br />There's no waiting and the—and that's, kind of, the reason why Recruitment needs that help and <br />that's why administratively I assigned position to help because staff are continuously monitoring <br />all 42 positions and referring as soon as we get qualified individuals that's, kind of, the <br />directive we're working on right now. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank, Waylen. So, go a little further—so let's say the hiring department <br />gets one. A reasonable sized list is a list of three qualified applicants. That hasn't changed, <br />right? <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: It's actually five. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Well, five <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: Yes, five. <br />CHR. CABANAS: They can interview and they can hire. <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: And we encourage that. Yes. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Right. But if they have four applicants, then what? Can you explain that to <br />the Board? Four are referred to that position. <br />MR. LEOPOLDINO: Right, <br />CHR. CABANAS: Three constitutes a reasonable sized list.
