CABANAS: Okay. <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: And take a discussion and a vote. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Okay. Thank you, Counsel. So, at this time, may I have a motion to take <br />Item number 7 out of order so that—and that matter will be turned over to Mr. Mel Ventura, our <br />Vice -Chair, who will serve as Acting Chair because I have recused myself from this matter. So, <br />may I have a motion to take this—Number 7, out of order. <br />MS. MATHEWS: So moved. <br />MR. KUNZ: Second. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank you. Motion made by Gay and seconded by Charlie to take <br />Number 7 out of order. I'll start with a rollcall vote. Mr. Ventura. <br />MR. VENTURA: Aye. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Ms. Mathews. <br />MS. MATHEWS: Aye. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Mr. Kunz. <br />MR .KUNZ: Aye. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Counsel, can I vote on it because I'm recused? Can I vote on it? Should I <br />vote on it or abstain? <br />MR. YOSHIMOTO: You should abstain. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Okay. For the record, the Chair abstains because I am recused from this <br />matter. Motion has been carried. <br />So, at this time, I will turn it over to Mr. Mel Ventura, who will serve as Acting Chair over Item <br />number 7, and I will leave the Council Chambers along with Mr. Yoshimoto. <br />Ms. Amanda Furman is the legal counsel, for the record, for the Merit Appeals Board when there <br />is an appeal.
