The area involved includes the former Hilo Coast Processing Mill complex and <br />surrounding former sugar cane lands at Pepe`ekeo, South Hilo, Hawai`i, <br />TMK: 2-8-07:portions of 1 and 53. <br />The Planning Commissioners met at the Hawaii Belt Highway-Pepeekeo Mill Road <br />intersection where the gear is located. Mr. Hayashi oriented the Commission and public <br />of the subject and surrounding properties on the location map and site plan and described <br />the area to be visited. <br />The Commission then looked at the warehouse area where a State Land Use boundary <br />amendment is being requested from the Agricultural to Urban district and a rezoning is <br />being requested from Agricultural 20-acres to ML-20. <br />The Commission proceeded to the area adjacent and to the north of the former HCPC <br />Mill site where the MG-5a district is proposed to be rezoned to RS-20; ML-20 to be <br />rezoned to RS-20; and CV-10 to RS-20.
