Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC) <br />a. No report, meeting was canceled. <br />D. Missing Murdered Native Hawaiian Women and Girls (MMNHWG) Task Force <br />a. No report. <br />Vill. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Statements from the Public <br />a. None <br />B. Review and approval of By -Laws <br />a. Kahea motioned to approve, Rachelle seconded. Motion was approved. <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Statements from the Public <br />None <br />B. Sub -Committee Memberships <br />a. Nomination and Election of Sub -Committee members <br />Elena shared the document that described each sub -committee and encouraged <br />them to be more engaged. Kahea shared that her passion is education and <br />human trafficking awareness, especially in the schools. <br />Shana said that sub -committees have not been meeting to her knowledge, <br />except for the Outreach sub -committee and the Legislative and Advocacy sub- <br />committees. She added information about Senate Bill 295, which sets up a <br />working group for changes in the child welfare system, and how her personal <br />testimony helped add disabled and LGBTQ parents and families to the work <br />group. She also clarified that her testimony was personal and not on behalf of the <br />committee, however, it would be good moving forward if we could testify as a <br />committee on pertinent issues. <br />Elena requested that the Legislative sub -committee bring a list of legislative <br />priorities to the committee at the next meeting as well as later in the year so the <br />committee is prepared to give testimony as an entity. <br />ACTION ITEM: Legislative sub -committee will bring a report on legislation that they wish <br />to prioritize for this legislative session as well as the upcoming 2024 session. <br />C. Communications Sub -Committee reports <br />a. Status of Chair and Secretary email accounts <br />i. Suggestion to add email address to social media pages <br />b. Facebook updates <br />i.
