SUPPORT SERVICES <br />Emergency Medical Services Report <br />New Clerk III <br />We would like to welcome our new Clerk III Taetum Kuali'i <br />Atkins to the EMS Branch. <br />Mauna Loa Eruption <br />EMS Branch personnel assisted with support for the Mauna <br />Loa Eruption event. Branch personnel supported medical <br />supply request, EMS stand by efforts and staffing the EOC. <br />Panasonic G2 Toughbooks <br />Our new Panasonic G2 Toughbooks have been deployed to <br />all of our medic units. We have confirmed SIM card <br />wireless connectivity with all of the new laptops in the field <br />Our new laptops now have the ability to receive EKG data <br />directly from our Lifepak 15 monitors and assist with <br />populating our patient care reports. <br />CPR Training Recertification <br />During the month of December we recertified our American <br />Heart Association BLS CPR Training Center Faculty. We <br />will be recertifying our instructors in March 2023 and our <br />providers in May 2023. <br />Hawai'i Life Flight Crew Vigil <br />EMS Branch personnel participated in a Hawaii Life Flight <br />crew sunset vigil in Hilo and Kona. This vigil was held in <br />memory of the three personnel who were involved in the <br />tragic aeromedical incident that occurred on Thursday, <br />December 15th. <br />LUCAS Compression Devices <br />We are very thankful and happy to announce that the Hilo <br />Medical Center Foundation will be donating three LUCAS <br />compression devices to our department. These three <br />compression devices will be assigned to Medics 6, 8 and <br />18. <br />KWXX Downtown Ho'olaule'a <br />The EMS Branch will be in charge of this year's KWXX <br />Downtown Hoolaulea standby in Hilo. This event, which <br />attracts approximately 19,000 people, is scheduled for <br />Saturday, January 28th. The EMS Branch attended the first <br />pre -plan meeting coordinated by the Mayor's office which <br />included multiple agencies. <br />:F <br />2022 1 DECEMBER 11 <br />
