Land Use, Environmental & Cultural Resources <br /> <br />Not a lot of changes from the last report <br /> <br />Request made for the Design Center to look at the Special Management Area application <br /> <br />at 7-7-004:025 <br /> <br />Transportation and Public Facilities <br /> <br /> <br />Constraint list for the STIP is being developed <br /> <br />Bob Fritzgerald looking for recommendations for a South Kona district park (P&R is in <br /> <br /> <br />discussions with Kamahameha schools) but would like to have some alternatives to look <br /> <br />into <br /> <br />Bob Ward is involved in the Complete Streets Task Force. <br /> <br />PATH had a meeting with the Mayor and he has expressed support for the Queen’s Lei <br /> <br />Project and the retrofit of Ali‘i Drive (attached please find pdf of the projects) <br /> <br />Update information of the Ane Keohokalole Highway Project. <br /> <br />Update information regarding the Kealakehe Regional Park. <br /> <br />4. Planning Department Update <br /> <br /> <br />Clarifications made for the some of the items on the project list and how the Design <br /> <br />Center comments. <br /> <br /> <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING ITEMS ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Dick Towle: <br /> <br />Regarding the Jacoby and the mixed-use path that was required that went from <br /> <br />Makaeo Park to Honokohau is the project dead or will it be picked up in another way. <br /> <br />PATH is looking at possible scenarios but the project may also be addressed by the <br /> <br />next proposed project for the land. <br /> <br />There is a concern with Scenario I which still gives credence to Ali‘i Parkway which <br /> <br /> <br />is not going anywhere. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To promote the Action Committee and the KCDP it is not as important the <br /> <br /> <br />mechanism but to make sure that the message is clear and will excite the community <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />in the program and to get them involved. <br /> <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Ken Melrose: Next Meeting July 28, 2010 – Mayor’s Conference Room – Hanama 1 <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 4:14 pm <br /> <br /> <br />tm; <br />E <br /> <br /> <br />
