Applications for new Mayor <br />6. Announcements � Caregiver's Delight Recap <br />7. Vox Populi (Voice This agenda item is for public <br />of the People) discussions that are not included on the <br />posted agenda. <br />Chair Hiraishi urged the members <br />to apply for the committee. Staff <br />attorney reviewed the Mayoral <br />priority of position assignments <br />for the County departments. She <br />said that the committee <br />assignment will be up to the <br />discretion of the Mayor. Member <br />Yogi will continue to record areas <br />of concern during the interim <br />periods between prior and future <br />committee. <br />Member Yogi gave a recap of the <br />event with the goals of increased <br />outreach for the upcoming year. <br />The other goal is to be of support <br />to caregivers in Hawaii and <br />beyond. Chan Hiraishi indicated <br />her enjoyment of the Zoom event. <br />No public comment. <br />Members discussed the concept of <br />having staggered appointments <br />for the sake of continuity. Staff <br />attorney Hall indicated that the <br />option to have staggered <br />appointments would need to be <br />done through a change in the <br />charter. Member Yogi asked how <br />soon the members can submit <br />their application for the next <br />term's Mayor. Chair Hiraishi <br />suggested that members continue <br />to share their concerns before the <br />committee is formally convened. <br />Malia and Chair Hiraishi said that <br />she will check on this item and <br />get back to the committee.
