Real Women Essay <br /> No updates. Question was posed as to whether or not we want to do this <br /> next year. If yes, its recommended that the committee start notifying <br /> teachers in early Fall. <br /> d. Community Surveys <br /> Christina shared that there is an event in Kona on Saturday, June 24 for <br /> mothers and daughters only, at which time, surveys will be distributed. <br /> Members are encourage to collaborate with Shana on ideas for adding <br /> Politcal/Voting Behaviors questions to the survey. <br /> E. Research Sub-Committee reports <br /> a. Status of Women Report. Tasks going forward are to brainstorm ideas for <br /> what the next report should include. Committee is urged to be creative in <br /> how the information collected is compiled to magnify its impact. <br /> b. Equal Pay. Committee will brainstorm ideas in which the message of <br /> equal pay can be amplified for 2024. <br /> F. Legislative <br /> a. Legislative priorities <br /> No report. However, committee is tasked with monitoring both County and <br /> State level initiatives and bills, bring updates to CSW. Think about who in <br /> the Legislature can be invited to our meetings for a 15-20 minute session <br /> update, etc. <br /> b. Human Trafficking - No report <br /> c. Equal Pay <br /> See above Section E Research Sub-Committee Reports, Item b. <br /> d. Missing Murdered Native Hawaiian Women and Girls (MMNHWG) <br /> No timeline on when new state report will be released, but the work will <br /> involve intimate data collection through first-hand survivor and family <br /> testimonials and stories. <br /> X. ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> a. Save the Date for"It Takes a Village" Crime Prevention Networking and Re- <br /> source Fair—July 20 from 11 am to 2pm, Sangha Hall. Shana motioned to <br /> participate in the Crime Prevention Networking and Resource Fair, Rachelle <br /> seconded. All in favor. Participation in the Resource Fair approved. Farrah will <br /> submit registration. <br /> XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Rachelle motioned to adjourn meeting, Hannah seconded. All in favor.
