CALL TO ORDER <br /> Meeting called to order by Chair Elena Cabatu at 9:36am. <br /> II. ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Farrah-Marie Gomes, Andrew Langtry, Shana Kukila, Elena Cabatu, Lisa <br /> Pana, Jennifer Stotter (HSCSW Commissioner ex-officio), Suzanna Tiapula <br /> (Corporation Counsel ex-officio). Absent: Evelyn Lee, Hannah Pita-Preston, Rachelle <br /> Agrigado. Excused: Christina Basham <br /> III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES for August 16, 2023 <br /> Motion to approve minutes by Farrah, seconded by Shana. All in favor, motion <br /> approved. No discussion. <br /> IV. TREASURER'S REPORT <br /> A. Approval of Treasurer's Report <br /> Andrew reported that the Committee has $10,000. Monies have been allocated <br /> to the following accounts: Travel, Printing, Mileage, Contracts and Miscellaneous <br /> Charges. Motion to approve the Treasurer's Report by Farrah, seconded by <br /> Shana. All in favor, motion approved. No discussion. <br /> V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC (may be made now or at any time an agenda <br /> item is called) <br /> Former Senator Laura Acacio shared information about a Shadow Report to be <br /> coming out of the United Nations. Also, Act 32 Midwifery Law goes into effect in July. <br /> More information will be forthcoming. Contact Former Senator Acacio to participate <br /> in upcoming discussions. <br /> VI. CORRESPONDENCE <br /> None <br /> VII. REPORTS <br /> A. Hawaii State CSW (HSCSW) liaison report <br /> No new report. Jennifer Stotter reported that they are still awaiting an Executive <br /> Director. <br /> B. Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC) <br /> Shana shared that the FVIC will hold a Domestic Violence vigil on October 5 in <br /> Hilo and October 6 in Kona. A survey will be sent out to register to set up an <br /> informational table, event starts at 12pm. Sign waving at 4pm and a presentation <br /> and candle light vigil to begin at 5pm. Contact Allen for more information. <br /> C. Missing Murdered Native Hawaiian Women and Girls (MMNHWG) Task Force <br /> No updates as CWS Executive Director position remains unfilled. <br /> VIII.
