G. PRINCIPALS <br /> 1. Karlynn Fukuda, President <br /> Ms. Fukuda has 29 years of public relations, governmental services and planning <br /> experience. As the public information officer for the County of Maui, she <br /> coordinated with all county departments and agencies for the preparation of press <br /> releases, media interviews and the planning and implementation of special <br /> projects. Ms. Fukuda has been involved in the preparation and processing of <br /> Chapter 343, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Environmental Assessments, the <br /> processing of land entitlements and other governmental permits for landowners. <br /> She has managed the creation and execution of reports and brochures for County <br /> and State agencies, as well as private landowners. She has also been involved in <br /> community relations efforts for landowners, including facilitating meetings for <br /> community-based master planning and general project reviews. <br /> Ms. Fukuda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass <br /> Communication and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the <br /> University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as a Master of Arts degree in <br /> Communication from Washington State University. <br /> 2. Mark Alexander Roy, AICP, LEED AP BD+C, Vice President <br /> Mr. Roy has 23 years of professional experience, including training/facilitation, and <br /> providing planning and project management consulting services to governmental <br /> agencies, land trust organizations, as well as non-profit institutions and corporate <br /> clients. Mr. Roy has extensive experience in matters related to strategic planning, <br /> management of complex permitting initiatives, and preparation of environmental <br /> impact statements for major land use actions. Mr. Roy has advised large land <br /> trusts, private landowners, and State and County agencies in guiding projects <br /> through the regulatory and environmental review process. <br /> Mr. Roy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), the <br /> American Planning Association, Hawaii Chapter and is a LEED Accredited <br /> Professional through the U.S. Green Building Council. He attended college for <br /> both undergraduate and post graduate studies in the United Kingdom and <br /> graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Management from the <br /> University of Leeds, and, a Master of Science in Environmental Protection from the <br /> University of Salford, Manchester. <br /> 3.
