You <br />also want to give the applicant a chance to respond to that, or if the applicant would want to <br />stipulate, even sometimes that happens, you know, that there should be standing granted. Mr. Farwell, is there anything else to add to <br />the petition that you would like to share with the Commissioners at this time? <br />FARWELL: Yes. Not only do I farm next door, but we also have a small factory. And <br />it makes considerable amount of noise. My main objection to this stems from the fact that I’ve <br />had three incidents in the last three years over this noise issue. The first was the most dramatic <br />where the police showed up, and there are only two policemen in South Kona. So once the man <br />got there and saw that the fact my wife and I were blowing leaves, he was embarrassed and left. <br />The second incident was when I was blowing leaves again, and a man wandered into my orchard <br />and asked me if I would stop blowing till about 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
