from 30 years that are doing this kind of work. And so I just ask you to think about the fact that,
<br />you know, you’re not depriving anybody of anything. What you’re doing is granting the
<br />community and the County an opportunity to put this to a better and higher use. Thank you very

<br />REEVES: My name is Kupuna Hannah Wahinemaikai o Kaahumanu Keliiulananiole o Kalama
<br />(Kane) Reeves, born and raised in Kona all my life, my parents and, go generation back. The
<br />reason why I’m back here again, I’d like to look at every one of you on the panel. I am of old
<br />Hawai‘i. And I want to tell you itwould be wonderful if you could get all of us, the living
<br />descendant, from the top of the down to the beach, we will have a better
<br />understanding, cause we’re talking about that place because we are a part of the old Hawai’i. I
<br />would like to advise all of you today, and to the audience, to everyone that is living in Kona and all
<br />over, I believe that this meeting that you’re having today would be one of the top wonderful
<br />experience on the four corner of the earth. I am of the four corner of the earth. The reason why I’m
<br />back here is I want you to open up the area, ine, because we are the direct living
<br />descendant, the kahuna line and the royalty line. If you are in doubt, and I’m looking at every one
<br />of you, I have proof and evidence who we are. And I am not ashamed because I know in my heart
<br />this is part of my job, is to take care of all of the sacred site, the trail, the mountain, the pu’u, the
<br />grave, the cave and the sacred walls that goes right around the island on every island. I am on six
<br />islands right now. I want you folks to know that it’s a wonderful thing to know that today I can
<br />speak even if just a short minute that I have.
<br />Please, I ask the panel today, and I have witness in the back there, I want you to walk with us at
<br />. Anybody in this group is trying to stop us from walking, better not. Believe
<br />me, I am letting everybody know to come home and walk on the trail of our ancestors that we are

<br />ARAKAKI: Aloha. I’m Iwalani Arakaki. I flew in from Moloka‘i because I heard about this. I’m
<br />not too familiar with what is happening, but I will be as soon as I find the families. I’m against this
<br />– and I am one of the descendants of –I’m against it. I’m here to speak for my family.
<br />We don’t want that. And as she just got through saying, it is so. Mahalo.
