Maintain nine hunter checking stations and other support buildings, boundary fences, and 45 game bird
<br />water units and feeders; maintain and replace as needed, five fence exclosures, five miles of waterline,
<br />over 77 miles of roads, and 100 hunting information and area boundary signs.

<br />• Inspect and replace signage in PHAs and GMAs. Includes purchase of signs, posts, fastners,
<br />barriers, paint, cement, lumber, etc
<br />Activity — Gamebird Guzzler Maintenance, Game Mammal Guzzler Maintenance, Gamebird Feeding Site
<br />Maintenance
<br />• Inspect and repair 45 game bird guzzlers throughout the year. Purchase of guzzlers, lumber,
<br />plumbing, tools, fastners, etc
<br />Activity - Fence and Gate Maintenance
<br />• Inspect and maintain 5 gates throughout the year. Purchase of. fencing, fastners, related materials,
<br />gates, tools, etc.
<br />Activity - Road and Trail Maintenance
<br />• Maintain 20 miles of roads throughout the year so that they are accessable to the public. Rental of
<br />Machinery, equipment to grub road/trail, etc. Purchase of herbicides, power tools, equipment,
<br />surge/gravel, fill, etc. For existing road/trail improvement.
<br />Activity - Facilities and Building Maintenance
<br />• Inspect and maintain 2 baseyard and 1 remote building throughout the year. Purchase of lumber,
<br />paint, or materials for benches, shelters, kiosks, etc. Repairs to buildings, and other facilties.

<br />• RCUH/UH contractors, other contracts for Game releated activities.

<br />Increased awareness and interest in the outdoors has increased the demand for multi -use areas in
<br />Maui County. In the recent past approximately 20,000 acres of public hunting lands within Maui County
<br />has been lost because of their withdrawal from public use by private or public landowners. As available
