Big Dreams Foundation, dba Big Dreams Foundation, approval of <br />Application for Special Liquor License received December 26, 2023, for <br />(10:25 AM) an event on February 2, 2024, to address concerns and issues raised at <br />the previous event; held at 74-5612 Pawai Place, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. <br />Jaclyn Moore, President, Dylan Shropshire, Secretary, Mattson Davis, <br />Landlord (Manini Holdings, LLC), and Cary Knowlton, General Manager <br />(Kona Brewing Hawaii), were present. <br />Nishimoto: Please state your name and relationship to the business. <br />Moore: Jacyln Moore, Director and President of Big Dreams Foundation. <br />Shropshire: I'm Secretary of Big Dreams Foundation. <br />Moore: My partner, Dylan Shropshire. <br />Davis: Mattson Davis, landlord, Manini Holdings. <br />Knowlton: Cary Knowlton, Kona Brewing Company, supporting them. <br />Nishimoto: Can you please describe your business and event? <br />Moore: So, we are a non-profit, and the event that we are applying for a Class 10 <br />Special permit is for tomorrow night, it's a concert. We're partnering also with one of the <br />largest production teams in the entire State whose responsible for bringing huge acts, <br />musicians over from the mainland, they do concerts over at the Shell and Blaisdell on <br />`O`ahu, and they're partnering with the foundation to bring Brett Young over tomorrow <br />night, over to the Brew. So, we're very, very excited for this opportunity to work with <br />these very seasoned professionals who have been doing this for over 30 years, and to <br />have access for the people that live here, to such world class musicians. <br />Shropshire: Also, it's country music, for all ages. <br />Nishimoto: Commissioners, any discussion or questions? <br />There was no discussion by Commissioners. <br />Takase: We provided you with a copy of our report from the last event, there were <br />some shortcomings. Are you folks able to address that? <br />Moore: Absolutely, thank you for the opportunity to do that. Last year, we did have a <br />mixed area, right?
