I TETRA TECH <br /> County of Hawaii-Statement of Qualifications for Fiscal Year 2025 l J <br /> Client(s) Project Name Description Period of <br /> Performance <br /> Tetra Tech is conducting a detailed analysis of the vulnerability of Maui County's beach parks and develop <br /> recommendations to address short and long-term impacts of coastal hazards, climate change, and other <br /> Maui County Maui County Beach environmental threats. Specific goals of the Project are to: (1) Identify county-owned or managed beach <br /> Department of parks that are vulnerable to sea level rise, climate change, tsunami inundation, flooding, and other <br /> Parks and Parks Vulnerability environmental threats;(2)Determine the extent of this vulnerabilitythrough mapping and other analysis; 3 2020 to present <br /> Assessment g pp g y ( ) <br /> Recreation Assess the impacts of these threats on structures,infrastructure,vegetation,cultural and archeological sites, <br /> and other assets;and(4)Recommend policies,actions,and other ideas to address the short and long-term <br /> impacts. <br /> Maui County Site Investigation of Tetra Tech performed site soil investigation to characterize and delineate the extent and magnitude of <br /> Department of the Molokai contamination associated with historical metals processing operations at the Molokai Metals Facility(MMF), <br /> Environmental Integrated Solid related to the current MMF staging area and the former baler operational area; required by the Hawaii 2012 <br /> Management, Waste Landfill Metals Department of Health, Solid and Hazardous Waste Branch (HDOH SHWB) as part of the permitting for <br /> Solid Waste Facility construction of a new concrete pad. <br /> Division <br /> Tetra Tech completed a comprehensive update to the Maui County Hazard Mitigation Plan.This was a multi- <br /> hazard planning effort covering all of the islands within the County. As with all Tetra tech plans, the <br /> cornerstone of this project was a comprehensive risk assessment of twelve natural hazards of concern. <br /> Hazus-MH was utilized to assess the dam failure, tropical cyclone, earthquake and flood hazards. Tetra <br /> Maui County Civil Maui County Hazard Tech's level II, user-defined protocol was applied to the earthquake and flood analyses. This plan was <br /> Defense Agency Mitigation Plan facilitated through a 16-member Steering Committee made up of planning partners and other stakeholders 2014 to 2015 <br /> (MCDA) from within the planning area.This committee identified a multi-media public involvement strategy that was <br /> deployed by the Tetra Tech planning team during the course of the project.The plan identified and prioritized <br /> over 60 actions to be implemented by the Maui County over the 5-year performance period of the plan.The <br /> plan was sent to the State of Hawaii Emergency Management Agency and FEMA Region IX for review,and <br /> was immediately approved with minimal comment. <br /> Hawaii Non-Emergency <br /> Department of Environmental Tetra Tech provides technical support services to the HEER Office.More than 200 Task Orders have been <br /> Health(DOH), Services for the completed to date.Tasks performed under this contract include:various programmatic studies;pilot studies <br /> Hazard State of Hawaii related to innovative field investigation methods; policy development support, technical assistance; 2005 to present <br /> Evaluation and Department of community and stakeholder outreach;comprehensive evaluation of DOH programs;collaboration with HEER (4th 5-year <br /> Emergency Health,Hazard Office project managers to develop guidance and methods for the Technical Guidance Manual; and, contract) <br /> Response Evaluation and extensive temporary staffing support,including embedded and subcontracted professional and administrative <br /> (HEER)Office Emergency positions. <br /> Response Office <br /> PAGE 25 <br />
