He <br /> is a Project Engineer responsible for planning and design for a wide variety of <br /> civil engineering projects on the Island of Hawaii and other geographic areas <br /> where SSFM currently provides planning and engineering services. <br /> 1 <br /> REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br /> SSFM International Project Engineer for the West Hawaii Civic Center project. This was a design- <br /> build project for a new Civic Center consisting of eight (8) office buildings and <br /> one (1) parking garage on the 7 acre parcel located at the corner of <br /> EDUCATION Kealakehe Parkway and Ane Keohokalole Parkway in Kailua-Kona Hawaii. <br /> B.S., Civil Engineering, Estimated construction cost$52 million. <br /> University of Texas at Mamalahoa Highway Bypass Road and Napo`opo`o Road Mamalahoa <br /> Arlington, 2003 Highway Intersection Improvements. Project Manager. SSFM provided Civil <br /> Engineering services to revise, update, and repackage the previously <br /> REGISTRATION approved Plans, Specifications and estimates (PS&E) for the portion of the <br /> Hawaii, Civil Mamalahoa Highway Bypass from Halekii to Napo`opo`o, as well as the <br /> Engineering #C-13059, Napo`opo`o Intersection PS&E. The Mamalahoa Highway Bypass work <br /> 2008 included updating the topographic survey for construction previously <br /> Texas, Professional performed, updating earthwork quantities, revising drainage details, adding an <br /> Engineer#100187, 2007 alternative pavement section for concrete, and adding additional <br /> improvements to accommodate property owners. The Napo`opo`o Intersection <br /> work included that above in addition to revising the intersection geometry to <br /> increase left turn storage. Estimated construction cost$25.5 million. <br /> Kapi`olani Street Extension, Lanikaula Street to Mohouli Street. Hilo, Hawaii. <br /> Project Manager. SSFM provided Environmental Documentation, Preliminary <br /> Planning and Design, and Final Design services. The Project consists of <br /> extending the existing Kapi`olani Street from Mohouli Street to Lanikaula <br /> Street. Project deliverables include an Environmental Assessment, <br /> Preliminary Engineering Reports and Plans, and Construction Drawings. <br /> Estimated construction cost$13 million. <br /> Keahuolu Phase 0 Roadway and Promenade Design. Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. <br /> Project Manager and Lead Civil Engineer. SSFM provided Environmental <br /> Documentation and Design services. Phase 0 of the project provides a new <br /> roadway, three new entrances to Kailua District Park, and a pedestrian and <br /> bike promenade. The improvements support the Kailua District Park and the <br /> Queen Lili`uokalani Trust Master Plans and include new pavements, raised <br /> sidewalks, shared use path, drainage improvements, intersection <br /> improvements, street lighting, landscaping, and new utility lines. Estimated <br /> construction cost$5 million. <br /> Kohala Ranch Community Association Pavement Assessment. Kohala, <br /> Hawaii. Project Manager/Project Engineer. SSFM performed a pavement <br /> inventory and provided pavement preservation plan recommendations. The <br /> Project consists of inventorying approximately 22 miles of roadway, identifying <br /> candidates for pavement preservation, evaluating treatment options and <br /> providing opinion of probable costs for various options. Estimated construction <br /> cost$500,000 <br />
