Fiscal Year 2024-2025 I PL.3) COMMUNITY PLANNING <br /> (Community Planning Assistant: Project Management Support,Community <br /> International Organizing, Public Participation, Meeting Facilitation) <br /> LIST OF REPRESENTATIVE RECENT PROJECTS <br /> Page 3 <br /> COMMUNITY PLANNING PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br /> Hanapepe Kauai Homestead Master Plan <br /> Hanapepe, Hawaii <br /> SSFM prepared a traffic assessment, planning, public engagement, <br /> technical site studies, and environmental compliance for the <br /> proposed phased master plan development of residential and <br /> commercial buildings on 365 acres of Department of Hawaiian <br /> • Home Lands in support of an Environmental Assessment. <br /> Estimated Cost: $271,167 (fees) <br /> General Plan Update Contract <br /> Statewide, Hawaii <br /> -- � SSFM assisted the State Department of Hawaiian Home Lands <br /> (DHHL) in updating its General Plan. The General Plan establishes <br /> policy for the direction of the Department and delivery of its mission <br /> • . to provide land to native Hawaiian beneficiaries. The General Plan <br /> process incorporated research, agency input, and beneficiary <br /> preferences to establish a vision and policy objectives for the next <br /> 20 years and beyond. It also established a uniform system of land <br /> use designations to be used by DHHL across its lands statewide, <br /> with associated criteria. <br /> Estimated Cost: $384,964 (fees) <br /> Special Treatment Coastal Edge District Mitigation Rules <br /> . Kauai, Hawaii <br /> • r, SSFM worked with the County of Kauai to develop development <br /> standards and review criteria for new development proposed within <br /> the County's new Special Treatment-Coastal Edge zone. The <br /> 4 10414 standards and criteria were adopted by the County Council in are <br /> being incorporated into a new sea level rise-based zoning district <br /> within the County's comprehensive zoning ordinance. <br /> Estimated Cost: $25,000 (fees) <br /> Anahola Regional Plan Update <br /> Anahola, Kamalomaloo and Moloaa, Kauai <br /> SSFM led the update of the Regional Plan for the DHHL <br /> homestead communities in Anahola, Kamalomaloo and Moloaa on <br /> Kauai. The project involved background research to update the <br /> previous Regional Plan; community engagement on issues, <br /> opportunities, community vision, and potential projects; and <br /> presentations to the Hawaiian Homes Commission. <br /> Estimated Cost: $65,940 (fees) <br />
