The results brought <br /> widespread praise for the process and outcome by participants as <br /> well as the broader community. <br /> SSFM managed all specialty sub-consultants to ensure accuracy <br /> and quality as well as coordinated and timely results. Major work <br /> elements included developing long range traffic forecasts, <br /> conducting traffic studies, developing and comparing alternatives, <br /> developing civil plan and profile drawings. State and Federal <br /> regulations that had to be complied with included Section 106, <br /> consultation with Native Hawaiian Organizations, Section 7 <br /> consultation on threatened and endangered species, Coastal Zone <br /> Management, Title VI Environmental Justice. SSFM was <br /> responsible for writing and processing the Draft Environmental <br /> Assessment, for responding to comments, and for completing the <br /> Final Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant <br /> Impact. <br /> Estimated Project Construction Cost: $130 million <br /> Kahului Harbor Development Plan <br /> Kahului, Maui, Hawaii <br /> _ 4• - - . • SSFM is the Prime Consultant for this assignment and is <br /> responsible for the preparation of a Development Plan for Kahului <br /> Harbor. The Development Plan will describe project goals and <br /> objectives, plan schematics, project sequencing and (order of <br /> . . magnitude) cost estimates. The work includes assessing alternate <br /> land acquisition schemes to allow for expansion of harbor <br /> _ operations, as well as a review of the mix of uses between <br /> commercial and passenger operations.
