Concepts were prepared <br /> for multiple sites at Kokee State Park(Kauai)and Keaiwa Heiau State <br /> Recreation Area(Oahu)and Kiholo State Park(Hawaii Island),together <br /> Concept for accessible campsite improvements at Kokee State Park. with a palette of materials and furnishings for mauka and makai camp- <br /> grounds. <br /> This multi-phase project will develop concept designs for ADA access <br /> and related improvements for campsites and develop design guidelines Design for Construction and Construction Period Support for Two <br /> and standards for future implementation across Hawaii State Parks Accessible Campsites <br /> campgrounds. AECOM prepared complete Construction Drawings(CDs)for univer- <br /> sally accessible campsite improvements at two campgrounds—KOkee <br /> State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources(DLNR) Di- State Park(Kauai)and Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area(Oahu).At <br /> vision of State Parks(State Parks)identified a need to create statewide each campground,the design will provide universal access for a single <br /> design standards and universally accessible camping facilities in Hawaii accessible campsite including full accessibility to parking and restrooms, <br /> state parks.AECOM is preparing the system-wide design guidelines for which is currently lacking. Each campsite will include features such as <br /> campgrounds.
