25 02 <br /> 2025 POMC Budget Narrative <br /> OBJECTIVE 1) Conduct baseline site maintenance of grass, fenceline, and <br /> ethnobotanical gardens. <br /> Activities <br /> 1) Grass Maintenance <br /> Mowing, string trimming, blading (trimmer w/blade), remove or chip downed branches after <br /> high winds, and other grass &weed maintenance. <br /> - Mowing and front fenceline string trimming twice monthly <br /> - Blading of large guinea grass and additional weed whacking twice monthly <br /> - High wind clean up as needed. <br /> Budgeted Amount: $12,000 <br /> - $1,000/month x 12 months=$ 12,000. <br /> - Primary work plan intended to be individual(s)who are Pohaha I Ka Lani employees <br /> to conduct work as separate, dedicated and recorded additional work beyond their <br /> general duties as an employee. <br /> - Additional contracted work to be used as needed. <br /> Plan & Coordinate work (Grass Maintenance) <br /> - General planning & coordination, including communication with staff& contractors, <br /> equipment& supplies preparation. <br /> In-Kind Applicant Share: $1,008.00 <br /> - Project Manager: 2hr/month x 12 months x $42/hr= $1,008.00 <br /> 2) Native Garden Maintenance& On-Site Education Presence <br /> Regular native garden maintenance and volunteer work preparation, and on-site education for <br /> public. <br /> - Weeding,planting, and cultivation. <br /> - Prepartion for volunteer work, i.e. group hostings, malama aina events, etc. <br /> - Educaitonal interaction with public. <br /> Budgeted Amount: $24,000 <br /> - 2 individuals x 8 days per month x 6 hours/day x $25/hr. _ $ 2,400/month x 12=$ <br /> 24,000 <br /> - Primary work intended to be contracted individuals will be hired as possible. <br /> o Various individuals have been utilized in the past and recently. <br /> - Secondary work plan intended to be Pohaha I Ka Lani officers, board members, <br /> and/or staff to conduct work as separate, dedicated and recorded additional work <br /> beyond their general duties as an officer, board member, or employee. <br />
