Hawaii County Scenic Resources Inventory and Mapping Project <br /> <br /> <br />Kailua Kona seaside view. <br /> <br />State Department of Environmental Protection, Maine <br /> <br />The Department of Environmental Protection enacted Chapter 315, Assessing and <br />Mitigating Impacts to Existing Scenic and Aesthetic Uses, <br />Natural Resources Protection Act (NRPA). The NRPA requires that applicants <br />proposing activities occurring in, on, over, or adjacent to protected natural resources <br />demonstrate that these activities will not unreasonably interfere with existing scenic and <br />aesthetic resources (See: Appendix C, State Department of Environmental Protection, <br />.
