Merit Appeals Board October 4, 2024 <br />Now, this is a summary of the communication, but I just want to state that on the correspondence <br />that Mr. Enriquez sent in, he's asking for the recusal of —and this is the name that he has in his <br />letter to the Merit Appeals Board and to the Office of the Corporation Counsel, the name of <br />"Gloria Cabanas" —so let the record reflect that. <br />MR. WISEMAN: I move that we go into executive session for purposes of discussing these <br />issues. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank you. Any second? <br />MS. MATHEWS: Second. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Thank you. Any discussion? If not, I'll start a rollcall vote for the Board to <br />go into executive session. Ms. Gay Mathews. <br />MS. MATHEWS: Aye. <br />CHR. CABANAS: Mr. Charlie Kunz. <br />MR. Motion carried for the Board to enter into executive session and the time is 9:13 a.m. <br />RECESS: The Chair called for a recess at 9:13 a.m. <br />RECONVENE: The meeting reconvened at 9:34 a.m. in open session. <br />Note: The Hearing Concerns The Preliminary Issue Of Whether The Board Has <br />Jurisdiction To Hear The Appeal, Under Section 76-14, Hawaii Revised Statutes.
