Merit Appeals Board February 25, 2025
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yes. So, that's what we're looking at is that ongoing support as well. So, the
Implementor will spend —will be with us for a period of time after the go live, to make sure the
system is working well. But, beyond that, making those additional changes, which may be
beyond what we're able to do they're going to train us in how to make certain adjustments to
the system, if we need to, say, add a job code or add something, right —minor changes. But
something as far as, like, work schedules —we'll have to evaluate ongoing support from the
company to continue to do that, `cause that's going to be more development than probably we're
capable of.
So, some things yes, we can add on later, but it may require additional support services. So,
we're evaluating with IT as well their ability to support us and provide assistance with the
ongoing management and update of the system.
CHR. CABANAS: Will this replace the manual processing of the Form 13's the paper.
MS. TOKIHIRO: It is intended to. Yes.
CHR. CABANAS: Oh, wonderful.
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah.
CHR. CABANAS: And so, if that happens, what's the impact on the Transaction's staff?
MS. TOKIHIRO: So, they're still going to have to be auditing the information. So, just because
it isn't paper, doesn't mean that it won't have to be audited. So, we're still going to the role
will be the same, but in a slightly different format.
CHR. CABANAS: So, they'll have, like, internal checkpoints?
MS. TOKIHIRO: Correct.
CHR. CABANAS: So
MS. TOKIHIRO: Yeah —Approver 1, Approver 2
CHR. CABANAS: Yes.
MS. TOKIHIRO: that sort of
CHR. CABANAS: Okay, good.
MS. TOKIHIRO: So, that's what we talk about in the workflows and designating who those
people are, right —who approves a timesheet versus who approves an invoice for payment —
because this is —it's not just a Human Resources software, it also encompasses our Budget and
Finance as well. So all linked together.
Page 11
