The Project will use a property owned by the State for Staging purposes. This <br /> property is near the water tanks on Kawaihae Road, east of the Transfer Station. <br /> 4. CRC walked the Waiaka Stream bed: <br /> a. Starting from the mauka side, roughly 100-ft upstream from the Waiaka Bridge. <br /> b. At the immediate upstream side of Waiaka Bridge, there is an existing lava <br /> rock with a roughly 2-inch diameter hole cut through the rock and daylighting. <br /> c. Through the underpass of the Waiaka Bridge for roughly 30-ft downstream. <br /> d. Waiaka Stream bed is extremely slippery and is not safe for general access. <br /> Recommend access down the embankment to the Waiaka Bridge foundations. <br /> e. Removal of the existing Waiaka Bridge foundations at the Waiaka Stream bed <br /> will be extremely challenging and needs special consideration during the work. <br /> Pictures. <br /> } <br /> 1.
