Liquor Commission <br />JKL & Associates, LLC <br />dba E Komo Mai Bar & Grill <br />Page 3 <br />DETAILS OF PREMISES: The proposed licensed premises contains approximately 3,122 <br />square feet, which includes a dining area, an additional room for private parties and/or additional <br />seating, bar with stools, kitchen facilities and storage. For further information, refer to Exhibit 3 <br />attached. <br />Applicant's employees and customers have access to locked common shared men and women <br />restrooms, located adjacent to its premises. Ample parking is available in front of the proposed <br />licensed premises. For further information, refer to Exhibit 2 attached. <br />KIND OF BUSINESS: Applicant will be open six (6) days a week, Tuesday — Sunday with the <br />following hours of operation: <br />* Tuesday — Thursday and Sunday: 10:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. Reopen at 4:00 p.m. — <br />2:00 a.m. the following day <br />9 Friday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. Reopen at 4:00 p.m. — 4:00 a.m. the <br />following day <br />Employment will consist of approximately seven (7) employees, all of which are certified by the <br />Department of Liquor Control to supervise the sale, service and consumption of liquor. <br />LEASE: Forthcoming. <br />ZONING.: Industrial- Commercial Mixed. SLU—Urban. <br />SURROUNDING AREA: Survey of the surrounding area reveals that there are no churches or <br />liquor licenses with the same class located within 500 feet of the proposed licensed premises, <br />however, there is one public charter school, Ka 'Umeke Kd'eo, located within 500 feet of the <br />proposed licensed premises. <br />There is also a County facility, named the Waidkea Recreation Center, that is used extensively <br />by the community, especially the youth for Aikido, Judo, Kendo, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, etc., and <br />a County park, referred to as the Kuawa Street Sports Fields, that is used by the youth for various <br />athletic events, located within 500 feet of the proposed licensed premises. <br />At the present time there are two (2) of the same class of liquor licenses being lawfully exercised <br />in the County of Hawaii. <br />SECTION 281-56(6), [IRS: The applicant is qualified and has complied with the minimum <br />requirements set forth under Chapter 281, Hawaii Revised Statutes mended, relative to the <br />making and filing of this application. <br />STACIE T.
