BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT(Include scope,size,and cost) <br /> Waikoloa Beach Resort is located on the west coast of 1 <br /> the island of Hawaii, and the southern portion <br /> encompasses the shoreline of Anaehoomalu Bay. <br /> During a tsunami in March 2011 the beach was severely P 44.70 <br /> eroded,a 200-foot-wide breach was created through the <br /> beach into the fishpond depositing sand in the pond,and <br /> a a <br /> much of the fishpond rock wall which acted as a <br /> backstop for the beach was destroyed. Following <br /> completion of repairs, the beach has been relatively <br /> stable,and the additional beach crest height has reduced <br /> wave overtopping. . <br /> 4 <br /> To ensure the continued stability of their beach, and <br /> address concerns about sea level rise, the Waikoloa <br /> Land Company and Waikoloa Beach Association have contracted Sea Engineering to develop a long- <br /> term plan for management and maintenance of their valuable beach resource.
