<br /> Lulu is a planner/graphic designer in our Strategic Services Group. She is
<br /> 9� �,z, highly skilled at producing graphic illustrations by using Adobe suites, ArcGIS,
<br /> 11` '% Sketchup or similar computer graphics to support work on transportation
<br /> , planning, urban design, and traffic engineering projects. With her background
<br /> in urban planning and design, she understands how to transform ideas and
<br /> information into clear visual communication to aid in people's understanding of
<br /> complex planning concepts.
<br /> REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br /> SSFM International
<br /> Hawaii County Vision Zero Action Plan, Hawaii. Graphic Design. SSFM
<br /> worked in cooperation with the local advocacy group PATH to create
<br /> EDUCATION narrative and visual communication of data, including collision and fatality
<br /> Masters Degree, Urban heat maps, infographics, and graphic template for the Vision Zero Action
<br /> & Regional Planning, Plan. Lulu created the template for the plan and all the graphic
<br /> University of Hawaii at representations of the crash data.
<br /> Manoa, Honolulu, County of Hawaii Complete Streets Program, Hawaii. Planner/Graphic
<br /> Hawaii, 2015 Designer. The County of Hawaii contracted SSFM to support development
<br /> Bachelor of Landscape of its complete streets program. This effort included the development of
<br /> Architecture, Beijing complete streets policy and design guidelines in the form of a Street
<br /> Forestry University, Design Manual. Lulu created graphic illustrations and cross sections of
<br /> Beijing, China, 2012 context sensitive design treatments as well as the graphic template for the
<br /> final report.
<br /> Nuuanu/Liliha Complete Streets Project, Honolulu, Hawaii.
<br /> Planner/Graphic Designer. This project identified complete street solutions
<br /> to make the study area (along Nuuanu Avenue and Liliha Street) safer,
<br /> inviting, and accommodating to all users. The project tasks included a
<br /> transportation assessment, community engagement program,
<br /> environmental review, and development of conceptual designs that will
<br /> later be taken into full design and construction.
<br /> Papa Avenue Complete Streets, Kahului, Island of Maui, Hawaii.
<br /> Planner/Graphic Designer. The project involved the planning, outreach,
<br /> and design of a collector road to reflect complete street and urban design
<br /> principles that facilitate safe and efficient pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle
<br /> travel. Recommendations to mitigate the sight distance concern at the
<br /> Lihikai Elementary School included improving the roadway layout.
<br /> Hamakua Coast Corridor Study, Island of Hawaii. Planner. SSFM is
<br /> responsible for the study of a 50-mile segment of Highway 19 (Hawaii Belt
<br /> Road), from Mud Lane in Waimea to Wailuku Bridge in Hilo. Project
<br /> included traffic congestion and operational analysis associated with the
<br /> corridor. Completed the analysis of land use and regional connectivity
<br /> through sustainable transportation such as bicycling and walking.
<br /> Multimodal Bike Plan (Downtown Chinatown Complete Streets), Honolulu,
<br /> Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Graphic Designer. SSFM developed a website,
<br /> branding, and communications program for the newly established
<br /> Complete Streets program as part of this project. This included the
<br /> development of templates for collateral and presentations, as well as
<br /> developing maps and graphics to depict complete streets improvements
<br /> proposed for major streets and intersections in Downtown and Chinatown.
