BY-LAWS <br /> OF THE <br /> ALA KAHAKAI TRAIL ASSOCIATION <br /> DUNE 11,2009 <br /> ARTICLE I <br /> Organization Name <br /> The name of the organization shall be the Ala Kahakai Trail Association, hereafter referred to as <br /> the ATA. <br /> ARTICLE II <br /> Office of the Organization <br /> The central office of the ATA shall be located in Kailua-Kona, County of Hawaii, State of <br /> Hawaii. The mailing address of the initial principle office shall be P.O. Box 2338, Kamuela, <br /> Hawaii 96743 and the physical address of the registered office of the Corporation shall be 73- <br /> 4786 Kanalani Street, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, 96740. <br /> ARTICLE III <br /> Obiectives and Purpose <br /> Section 1: The purpose of this ATA shall be: <br /> (a) To operate exclusively for charitable literary, educational and scientific purposes, <br /> within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including for <br /> such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as tax-exempt <br /> organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or any <br /> future corresponding provisions): <br /> (b) To define, authenticate, and revitalize the Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail and all <br /> it encompasses through the engagement of the native Hawaiian community, the <br /> community-at-large, public and private landowners, government and community <br /> agencies and other stakeholders; <br /> (c) To promote community engagement in education,health, environmental, stewardship, <br /> 26-05 <br />
