SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE <br />HAWAII COUNTY POLICE COMMISSION <br />DATE: Friday, November 30, 2001 <br />TIME: 10:00 a.m. <br />PLACE: Keauhou Beach Resort, 78 -6740 Alii Dr., Kailua -Kona <br />AGENDA <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />ROLL CALL <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />PUBLIC STATEMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION STATEMENTS ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />To consider charges brought against officers of the Hawaii County Police Department where <br />personal matters affecting privacy will be considered and a closed meeting is requested by <br />individuals involved and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to <br />the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />October 19, 2001, regular and executive sessions. <br />PERSONNEL ORDERS <br />Nos. 2001 -125 to 2001 -146 <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />• Minutes from the Kauai Police Commission dated September 28, 2001. <br />• Correspondence 97, from Moya Gray, Director of the Office of Information Practices, thanking <br />Chair Okabe for participating as a panelist on the First Annual Hawai'i Sunshine Conference on <br />October 13, 2001. <br />• Correspondence 98, copy of letter to Police Chief James Correa from A & A Hawai'i, expressing <br />frustration and disappointment in the level of police services afforded to his tenants in the <br />Keaukaha area with regards to vandalism and illegal activities. <br />• Correspondence 99, Honolulu Police Commission roster. <br />• Correspondence 100, from Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida informing of the Attorney <br />General's opinion that they cannot suggest that the one -year residency requirement for <br />department heads is unconstitutional. This is Hawai'i Revised Statutes 78 -1(b). <br />
